Fjellkysten Hotel is located in the quiet Lavangen fjord in Norway. It is surrounded with beautiful mountains and fjords, but it is still quite close to cities like Narvik, Harstad and Tromsø. The building itself is designed with inspiration from the Sami gamme, and the Vikings long house. It has 28 rooms with three different room categories. The public areas of the hotel has been newly renovated, and the whole house has a mix of traditional elements with modern comforts. Fjellkysten Hotel is equipped with a full size kitchen and can serve dinner to 120 guests.
To stay at Fjellkysten can be a special experience. The house is halfway buried like a hut which also features a traditional Norwegian grass roof. You will not hear rain on the roof or wind against the outside walls. Most rooms have views over the bay, and in the winter this view is a great opportunity to see Aurora Borealis (the Northern Lights). When the night sky is filled with shimmery light, it surely is a wonderful sight. Fjellkysten Hotel has a wide range of activities like wildlife safari and northern lights snowshoe trip. In addition we are close to the Polar Park Wildlife Center. All the activities that Fjellkysten Hotel offers is carried out in the beautiful nature in Lavangen, and many of them right in our backyard.
