The trail starts at Fjellkysten guesthouse. The trail follows a forest-road the first kilometers, until it hits a suspension bridge.
The first kilometers are relatively flat, but from the bridge it goes from the forest-road to a marked path and a gentle climb up to Åsevatnet. From Åsevatnet located 528 meters above sea level, there is a slight steeper climb up to Trosen.
